Two separate proposals Frere prepared for consideration.. One is for street restoration and the other to for total street recon structii:ri with concrete curie and gutter. Engineer Rudruc girojected and described slides of the area and project. Pe then reviewed the i.;n;ject cost estimates and assessment breakdown figures, lie added that when the .verall assessment policy is completeu it is expected there will be an increase in rates. There Is now about 2 feet of silt deposit over most of the bottom. The lake is ex- tremely rich in nutrients, having progressed to the point- that an extensive bloom of the blue-green algae "aphanizominom" appeared in 1971. A qualified linnologist can give you the details, better than I can, as to why the appear- ance of that particular algae invariably indicates an advanced stage of eutrophication. Therefore. if Lost Lake continues as an asset to the Village, we need all the help the Village can provide: Ne are not aware of any financial, assistance tieing available from the Village, but it is certainly well within your authority to prevent this 9011+ rer from dumping additional problems into this little 20 acre pond. Therefore we request this project be held in abeyance until a thorough report, on the route we request, is prepared by the Village. This is not a large surer project. We trust it can be given suff,icieut priority to allow''consideration of the report and yet not make an appreciable delay,in completion of the project. If our lake group can be of any help, we kill be pleased to hear from you. 8y now, both Mr. rudrud and 4tr. Neils can both confirm we prefer to be involved. Now more expense is being in- curred to alleviate the situation for people around Kraetz Lake and are being assessed as well as those one quarter of a mile away from the lake. Now these people are asking to have it put into Lost Lake and we'll have to ask for con- trol for Hater drainage. Gentlemen, this happened once in your village, please tale this into consideration and divert your plans. I would be too. -If you polled the residents 992 would be against the storm ewer. 1, an quite familiar with the problem because Roard= n's grater goes across my driveway. There should be some apsten to warn people who buy a lot that they will have a drainage problem. This problem has been knows for many years and people have a right to know, but who wins out., There is no water problem on Revere. I have none and the people across the street from us have none. Therefore. we will be selfish. Our probe:o:is financial. Some people on Revere 'lave 2 or 3 lots. I am sorry to see that'people are not more con- cerned who live on this street. I hope there will bis another hearing.
