A regular Council mating of the Plymouth oillage Council was called to order
at 7:40 P.M. by Mayor Hlids on the 13th day of November, 1971,

PUB!.IC REARING
A public hearing was held for Project 17l00% B Streak Lighting in Oakwood Rk: PROJECT,
Hills lot and 2nd Additions Ithich was petitioned for by some residents in 171-S,S STREET
the area. Manager Yillia said the hearing is held to afford the ei;tirens LICRT REARING
an opportunity to express their opinions about the improvemient, type of
lighting proposed and what the eatimated cost will be. Northern Stsatee
Power engineers presented a slightly different plan than the one srg,mitted
by the pettioners. Northern States recommended tsto mate lights, tptalltag
8. Eativated cost (as noted In the handout) is S11.3O1year for b lights
or $15.70/yeas for 8 lights. Manager Willis expluined how notice/; of this
hearing vas sada and how the assessment for the iaprovemiant will Pe made.
Public hearing opened at 7:30 P.N.
Mr. Stew Collins, 2520 Troy Lane, said he was a petitioner for lights.
After talking to neighbor* about the two other lights recommaaded by-the
power company they would like Council to approve the 6 lights they requested
which will be attached to the existing wooden poles plus one decol;ative
light on Shadyviow Lane. They feel it should be decorative beca%4ty of its'
location so Jt 411 fit in with the surroundings.
Mr. yarreo Johnsoa..representing Northern States Powers said a decorative
pole would nave to be installed by a contractor and the Village would have
to pay for the installation. They are not placed in existing areae that
have overhead facilities because they say run into walla, trees$ h,dges.

Manager for intersection lights throughout the Village. Msyoir'filldd
said word regarding o'possible installation of lights in 1972 ar major
Intersections and street lights will be sent by the Village or to
the various homeowner associations. A problem exists, howwr, ow
will they be paid for. It may possibly have to be done by ad,v oTea

Mayor Hilda sold specifically, w do not oppose its but we are not able
to consider it seriously until we have an Idea if utilities can be pro-
vided. We have been listening and trying to work with you to the pact.

criteria, now. It would 'W a good idea for you to work with the Planners

Sometime ago Mr. Lou Swedlund asked approval' for & bond release for RE: BOND RELEASE
Imperial Rills. Covoellmae Hunt questioned a doolcation of a parcel LER SVEDLUND
of land for park purposes. Manager Villis searelted the Village filets,
for information on tnte subject: His read a lett#r dated July 96 1419
received free Mr. Swedlund and Resolution f 69-18S, adopted a month

Mr. Swedlund's interpretation did not coincide .ith the Council's. Mr.
Swedlund eVects that he will be refusdid the 515/acre fee ho4aid if <,
