May 10 , 1971
A special meeting of the Village Council and Planning Commission was called to order
by Mayor 11ilde on Abnday, May 10, 1971 in the Council Chambers of the Public Works
Building.

Mayor 11ilde stated that the n>ain objective of the special meeting of the RMFOSt OF
Planning Commission and Village Council was to consider work done by the SPECIAL
Connission on purpose, goals and objectives for Village planning.) There EI TING
are three reasons for setting a purpose, goals and objectives
1. To set forth in writing the purpose, goals and objectives
so that when a full-time planner is hired he will kmow how
to go _gout planning the rest of the Village.
2. To reduce darn to a small manual the purpose, goals and
e.,, ctives so they can be used as a working tool by the
F ^arming Commission and Council.
3. To br-ing out relative think -in? and improve mo munieations
between the Council ant). Planning Commission,
