JULY 100 1969 I] Mayor Hilde called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. on July 10, 1969 in the Plymouth Village Nall with Council acting as the Board of Reviev. Present: Mayor Hilde, Conncilmtn Kindseth, Hintz, Humohrey, Administrator Splinter, Assesaor Shaughnessy wad Mr. Johnson from the County Assessor's office, First person'tu appear before the Board of Review was Harry Soreason, 10110 39th Ape. N. Mr. Sorenson questtoned the value of his house `- basici'ly bs.:ause he believes that the pernentage of completion was not as highas the,.Aasessor valued it. Mr. Shaughnessy explained that he has to have proof of this value, and that this value concerned the 1968 valuation not the 1969 one. Mayor tiilde said he would discuss the natter further after we complete the doasd of Asaessment Review. The next person to appear was Mrs. Claire Bork, 1040D Garland Lane North, Wayzata, Mrs. Bora questioned the valuation of Lot 1, Block 3, City View Acres 2nd Addition and Lot 13, Blocs, 3, City View Acres 2nd Addition. She feels that either her house is valued too high or the other home is valued too low because they are babica3ly the save house with only the degree of finishing the,basenent and adding a double garage being the difference, Because Mrs. Bork's problem seemed to be based on 1968 values, her problem will be reviewed after this meeting is completed. Mr. George Hessling, 3030 Walnut Grove Lane stated that his prablem woul:: be similar to previous problems bEcause he had no physical change. His problem will be taken care of after the completion of this reeting. Mrs. john Dombeck, 17620D 8th Ave. N. appeared regarding the 1968 i alue not the 1469 value. Her problem will also be taken care of after the Board - of Review for 1969 is closed. MOTION by Councilman Hintz, second by Councilman Humphrey to adopt RESOLUTION RE_ S.NO.69 N0. 69-222, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1969 VALUES FOR APPROVAL OF THE AtiSErSMEKT ASSESSOR'S ASSESSMENT ROLLS r3R 1969 AND FROM A CERTIFICATION OF SAID ."LLS ROLLS APP'L. TO THE COUNTY. Mr. Hintz stated that we sho:1d have a better way of informing the citizens of whin they can review their problem. Mr. Johnson of the County Assessor's office stated that the County will attempt to notify property owners when Individual increases have been made but when blanket increases ara made by the County it is taa diffic0. to makl.: formal notification. They are also subject to State blanket notification if the*y maize a blanket, increase, there is no notification whatsoever. Councilman Hintz further stated and the Council agreed that there ha" to be some better way of making it known to these people that these valuations are increased. Motion passed 4 aye roll call vote.
