The Adsin,wstratar agrees the ordinance is ambiguous. The But"ding Inspector
recommended a Variance of 30 feet from the property line and .Kt. Lowman said
there was a siaunderstandieg as he thought it was from Via ,:urb and this
property line requirement would only .leave them with a 20' variance, caus-
ing then to either design a smaller sign or try to relocate -it.
NOTION by Councilman Johnson, second by Councilman Kindaeth to Rrant a 30
toot setback waiver from the property 114e, as Nr. Kammusn reca"anded.
Motion passed 3 ayes and two Rays from [Mayor H11de and Councilman Humphrey.

Councilman 11intz met. with Queensland Lane residents south of 26th
Aver_ue on Hay 3, 1969. He reported nine out of fourteen did not
want to he included, in the Southwest sewer and water project. One
resident does want it and two others did not care one way or another.
Councilman Flumphrey asked the Engineer if the one who needs it
could be cc-tnected to the interceptor. The Engineer said it could
be done for sewer only for the three residents.
MMON by Cour ci lman Johnson, second by Councilman llumphrey, to
adopt a resolution to delete Queensland Lane south of 26th Avenue
from the southwest sewer and crater project with the home -3 at 25356
45 and 2595 Queensland Lane which are to be connected to the
Interceptor for sower if po4siblo. Councilman llut+,Phrey seconded
the motion. Councilmen Kindseth, Mintz and Mayor 1111de vote.t nay,
Councilman Humphrey and Johnson voted aye, Motion fa -Lir -d.
Councilman Hintz stated fie feels that the area should not be deloted
as :peptic systems will probably last only for four or five years and
we woul be doins a disservice to the people.. Engineer Aonestron
said re -financing of a loan on honc-R vithout ,sev%rer would present a
preL.lem, land value 'should be tonstdered, but if they do not wish it
installed it could be deleted.
The Council wants to make it clear that persons in an axen reque-sting
to be left cut of the sewer and water project., especially after thor
ough conversations and discussions have been made to the citizens,
they enn..ot expect any kind of consideration should they come: to
the council of ter two or three years .from now as .far as lissessments
are concerned. The administrator stated tl;iat most likely there
wcula be a change of hong ownership during. that period and :it might
not be a burden on the p -esent owners as t;Ney will have been gone by
then.
