Mr. S olinter, Administrator, stated he has roosived approximately
20 to 10 calls during 1968 expressing interest in/or the need
for sanitary sewer in thio area. He stated f ether he has received
a number of favorable eommeate from Aevelopers in the area. How=
ever, few of these requests byre in writings most wished to know
how mach tha imprgvement would cost. He was also aware of a num-
ber of heavily polluted pone in residential areas. lir. Bonestroo,

The Council then discussed those fringe areas of the improvement
which could either oe included for lateral service or excluded.

west of Highway 101), from the hearing on the southwest area. AREA HEARING
This area should be treated as a seperate project as it involves
a temporary lift station to service the area. Mr. Bones trop via

NOTION by Mayor Hilde, second by Councilman Humphrey, to direct
the Enginoer to assess the pollution of m--oney and Hadley Lakes.
Motion passed by a three aye vote.
X01FION by Councilman Hu4hrey, second by Mayor Hile•e, to delete
the north half of Mapledell from this improvement. Motion passed
by a two aye vote. This was deleted because it wculd require
an expensive trunk line.
MOTION by Mayor Hilde, second by Councilman Humphrey, to direct
the Administrator to write the owners of Mapledell First Addition
to ascertain whether thlsy wish the area to be sf•rved by sanitary
sewer. All deletions made from the southwest serer and water
projects are for lateral service asbessmente, rot necessarily
for area assessments.
Mayor Hilde asked the Engineer if easement coats ,sre covered in
his estimates made in the southwest preliminery report, and Mr.
Bonestroo stated his contingency factors wer•i designed to cover
the easement costs.

DATE FOR THE PROJECT HEARING (Project No. 63-1E). Notion pc -meed
by a three aye vote.
