Mayor Staples opened the Public Nearing to consider the proposed assess -ll: UAM MSB.

that 40% of the cost of this project was paid for by a three mill tax ASSISI MIT
levy and 60% was assessed against the benefited property owers.
Mayor Staples opened the hearing to questions and casmsats frog the

by all of those available zeaiding on Zachary as well to those
property owners not residing on Zachary. This Petition contained

that the Council reconsider its method of asses seent for

just a road to service the people living on it but a major

a meeting on June 6, 1966, at which he understood the general
feeling was to assess this road ispravaont ora an &creep

assesssnt for 36th Avenue Iaprovmsnt. Be stated that the total cost
of the project was 6101,100.00 which is 1001 assessable to the abutttdg

tioned the coat of the isms vement and stated that he felt that
the cost was too hi . Bestated that he would aSh gm and is
ready to pay his share although he felt that the assessment
should be based on an acreage assessment rather than a linear
foot.

Mayor Staples oyop paned the Public Hearing to consider the proposed
asssssmant for Dunkirk Lane Impt01 _t. The cost of this project was
617,000 and is totally assessable to the developers of Mapledall
Addition per an agreemaot between these developers and the Village.
Under this agreement, the Village would release the developers frac a
portion of the subdivision development contract for the improvement ofp° opanae
