G ` PETITIONS VESTS AND C01w4 AILATI0NS The Administrator stated that he had received a letter from RE: HONEYWELL, INC. Honeywell, Inc. requesting a conditional use permit. The uses REQUEST FM COND. requested to be permitted are for medical, ,Scientific and research USE PERHIT laboratories and related uses. The questions arose as to whether this request should be referred to the F'lanniag Commiscion, The Attorney stated tnat the Planning Commission had considered the rezoning and the use and made recommenda'ciuns to the Council on both. Mr. Paulson of Honeywell, Inc. appeared and ahowed stzples of the types of items which would be desi ped ari roceeeed at theYP8sp proposed plant. MOTION by C3vncilman O'Fallon, second by Counci?reran Hunt, to grant Honeywell, Inc. a conditional use permit for uses as set forth in their letter of September 200 1967. Motion passed fy a -three aye vote. Ralph Bor rdin requested a variance of 5 feet on the north lot RE: 5 FT. VARIAICEp8'e $' line of Lot 4, Block 3, Plymouth Manor 2nd to cunatruct a minimum LOT 4, BLK• 3, size attached garage with breezeway. A letter of consent from the RALPH BORGERDINCI adjoining property caner was received. APPVID• MOTION by Mayor Staples, second by Councilman Olftllon, to approve V the five foot sideline variance as requested. Motion passed by a three aye vote. Daryl Johason requested a subdivie;ion waiver on Lot 23, Block 19 City View Aceta. This in a deep lot extending from 12th to 13th Av"nue. Turnquist, 535 Quantico Lane, appeared regarding a petition RE: PETITI^.N FOR signed by 23 homy owners on Quantico Lane requesting that Quantico PAVING OF 5TH AVEh'UE and 6th Avenue beved to completion includingpapng entrancRs and exits, AND QUANTICO that have been disturbed by grading. He stated that they have a 20 foot wide roadway and they want a 30 foot roadway as they feel the present road is verb inadequate. The Council explained that the 20 foot roadway was only intended to be a temporary road with a life expectancy of approximately five years. They stated that about a year ago it was announced in the official village newspaper that anyone canting more of a street improvement than the 20 foot wide mat should make such requests before February 1967. Question arose as to whether there was a credit due for road restoration in this area out of storm sewer funds. The Administrator stated that if the homeowner's driveways were paved up to the edge of the travelled roadway before the sewer was installed, then it should be rapaired. He also stated he would have the Engineer check to see if the driveways were repaired in this aree,. The Administrator was directed to meet with the l..gineer to diecves these problems and Dir. Turnquist was informed that this matter would be placed on the October 2nd agenda. ON QUANTICO & 6T1i Motion passed by a three aye vote. PAVING Letter received from Myron Landecker of Caswell Engineering, RE: REQUEST FOR representing Ardis Schiebe. He requested -the Village Council WAIVER OF PLATTING to waive portions of the Platting On-Unance and a waiver of' the ORDe, A. SCHIEBE Platting fees, for Lot 11, Block 2, Beacon Heights lat :addition, to divide said lot into three parcels. Council Minutes - September 25, 1967 - Page 4 KISC2LLANEOitS, cont' d. he Administrator called to the attention of the Council that under the amendmentb to the Administrative Code relating to the Fire Department that all personnel of that department must be appointed by the Council upon the recommendation of the Clerk -Administrator. He therefore presented to the Council a list of the names of the present members of the department and recommended their appointment in the positions which they currently hold. 3 NOTION by Councilman O'Fallon, second by Mayor Staples# that the appointees as presented by the Clerk -Administrator be approved and confirmed. Motion passed by a three aye vote. Administrator stated that in the 1967 budget there was a position for a Light Equipment Operator. He recommended that Rodney Keller be appointed to the position. MOTION by Councilman Hunt, second by Mayor Staples, to appoint Rodney Keller to the position of Light Equipment Operator start,.jig October 1, 19679 at a salary of 8500,00 per month. Motion passed by a three aye vote. kel Ar0ambeau, 2705 West Medicine Lake Drive, appeared to request a permit to move a house from 1230 Berkshire Lane onto Lot Block 3, Elmhurst. This house is presently located in the area to be condemned by N.S.N. It was brought out that it would be nacessary, to have 5 foot sideline variances on each side lot line in order to fit the house on the lot. It was recommended that Mr. Archambeau appe,ir at the October 2nd Council meating and at that tine request a moving permi4, building permit and the sideline variances. Bob Nelson, Strands Enterprised, appeared to request preliminary approval of the plat of Larch Heights Lagoon. He presented a now plat as requested by the Village Engineer showing 53rd Avenue North as a through road from Larch Lane east. NOTION by Councilman Hunt, second by Counciiman 0 Fallon, to adopt RESOLUTION Nn. 67-162, A RESOLUI-ION APPROVINU THE PRELIM1NARY PLAT OF LARCH W -!J iTS LAGOON. Motion passed by a three aye vote.
