HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1970-429II Councilman Hints introduced the following Resolution and moved tg adoption:. (Res. No. 70-429) 4. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of land enumerated in said proposed assessment was and is specially benefitted by the construction of Water, E. Medicine Lake in, the amount in said proposed assessment set opposite the description of each such lot, piece or parcel of land and that said amount is hereby levied and assessed. 5. Such proposed assessment is affirmed, adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessment with the changes and alterations hereinabove made are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said late, pieces or parcels of land respectively. 6. Said assessment so affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be certified to by the Village Clerk and filed in his office and shall thereupon be and constitute the special assessment for. Water, E. Medicine Lake, Project #70-1,0-E. 7. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been paid at the rate of ".-per annum. 8. Such assessments shall be payable in 30 equal annual installments payable on the first day of January in each yeah, beginning in the year 1971, and continuing until all of said installments shall have been paid, each installment to be.collected with taxes collectable during-said year by the County Auditor. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from'the date hereof to December 31,;1970. To each subsequent installment shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. ' 9. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of the County Auditor of Hennepin County a certified statement of the amount of all of such unpaid assessments and the amount which will be due thereon the first day of January in each year." The above motion was seconded by Councilman KLUdseth and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: CouncilmenJohnson, Hintz, Kindseth and Spaeth.
