Puravant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the
Vill&ge Council of the Villaga of Plymouth, Minnesota, was duly
held at the Village Hall or. t;ne 29th daffy of June, 1966, at. 1:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor Loring Staplea, Jr., Village Assessor Harold Ernest,
Assistant Supervisor of Assessors of Hennepin County, Robert
Kartin, and Village Clerk -Administrator, Paul Boog.
Absent: Trustees O'Pallon, Renner, Hagen and Hunt.
Those residents appearing were: Nr. and Mrs. Get.-%ge keister requested
that their property identified as parcel 1030, plat 43702, Section 29
consisting; of 51 acres, be put bark on the tax role as agriculture.
Mr. Reiste.r stated the land is not used and part of the la%l is under
the soil 13tw,nk. Their 1964 taxes were $191.76, their 1965 taxes were
621.36. Nr. Neister did not believe this inereaee was Justified.
r. E rneat, Vi l l4e Assessor, explained that this property was on
pie south shore of Base Lake and contained some good lake side property.
Aecause of the physical location, the beat use of this property is for
residential. This property can be reached by roads on both sides.
There axe res :dontial developments on each side.
Ere, Meister ;vWtted that the property is for sale. They are asking
over 3140, 000eW for this property.
Since no one aloe appeared, Mayor Staples declared that the meeting
be recessed until Monday, July 11th, 1966, the next regular Council
meeting. The meeting recessed at 2:30 o'clock p.m.
