Ridgeway, appeared to re -apply RE: RE20N.L.Z NR for rezoning from Heaidentiai to Commercial for a service station, CORDER 154 & 55 property at the NN quadrant of Co. Rd. 154 and Hwy. 55. The Village 4ttorney advised that one vote was lacking by State Statute requirement to rezone in previous Council action on April 16. 1566. Eugene Hogers, 1029 R. Medicine Lake Drive, presented a petition as signed by 15 property owners an4 reeding as followst We. the undersigned rev Ldents of Plymouth Villego are opposed to the rezoning of the property. lying on tho northwest corner of Hry. 55 and Co. Rd. 154, from Residential to Commercial. We have homes and are living; in this area and do not wish this corder or area to become a target for factories or what have you. This io now a residential area end we do not wish it to become like the east side of Co. Nd. 154 and kliy. 55 which is comamereialized. Rd. 15, as Police Officer, initially on a part time besis - full time erfecltive January 1, 1967 upon satisfactory performance. Mayor Staples pointed out that two applicants Were interviewed by Safety Conunittee Chairman Mayor Staples, the Chief of Folice and the Attorney. The Police Chief was questioned as to procedure followed in firing police officers aad stated that in this instance 13 written applications were screened, the top five were referred to the Safety Committees and the t,cp two were interviewed.
