HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 01-23-1965 SpecialU 4 Janur9 23, 1965 w J _ _ _1 1\ P Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special testing of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minresota, was duly held at the Village Hall on the 23rd day of January, 1965, at 10:00 o'clock A. X., the special meeting having been called by Mayor Staples, Present: Mayor StEples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon and Humphrey, and the Village Clerk. Absent: Trustee Seviour, Mayor Staples called the meetirg to order. Mayor Staples introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOWTION N0. 65-10 Te=a';the Village of Plymouth is presently lsewersys_4 in the Minneapolis Indnatrial Park and occupants of such Park, and resolution 65 -al : Agree- ment Bet, 11. of Plymuth g V. of G. V. Re,Sewage Disposal h TA"M41%ja 40M installing a sanitary for use by the owners Procedure. WHEREAS, the Village of PlymouLh has recently concluded an agreement with the Village of Gclden Valley relating to the discharge of sewage by the Village of Plymouth into the Golden Valley sanitary trunk sewer system, and WHFRF.AS, slid agreement provides for its termination by either of said villages upon ninety (90) days' Zotice given by ono village to the other, and WHEREAS, some concern has been expressed that in th:' avent of such termination the users of said sanitary sewer syNtfm might be unable to dispose of their sewage, and 14HEREAS, it is deemed to be necessary and desirable that the Village of Plymouth give certain assurances to said users with respect to their expressed concern; NOW THEA MRFq 9E IT HEREBY RESOLV:', By the Village of Plymouth as follows: I. That the Village of Plymouth, within the limits of its legal authority, will endeavor to avoid any termination of its agree- ment with the Village of Golden Valley so long as there are no alternatives available for the disposal of sewage from the Village of P14 mouth. 2. That, in the event that the Village of Golden Valley should ever give notice of its intention to terminate such agreemont, the Village of Plymouth will make every effort and will cooperate in every practical way, within the limits of its legal authority, to t'lnd and secure alternative means of sewage disposal for the awners and occupants of the Minneapolis Industrial Park." Motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Humphrey and upon vote baling taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon and Humphrey. Againatt None. Absent: Trustee Seviour. Whereupon uai.d resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion made by Trustee Huimphrey that the Annual Financial .Statement for the year 1964 as prepared by the Village Clerk be apprcved and published and that a certified copy of the publication be forwarded to the Public Examiner.
