Absents Trustees Clifford and Curtis. Trustee Clifford arrived at SOO o'clock P. N. ham Staples called the cresting to order. Pastor Tarry of the Plymouth daptiat Church gave an invocatory prayer in behalf of the Council. Copies of the minutes of the regular mestin,; of April 6, 1964. as mailed to each Councilman, were approved, subject to the following corrections On Page 3 of the minutes the est-back granted for Lots 1 thru 90 Alock 1, 31roh Valley Addition should read. "that a sot-back waiver of 15' from the 50-ft, sot-back required by ordinance be granted". Oath of Office Mayor Staples administered the Oath of Office to Harold Glampe to Harold Glampo* as a part-time polios officer of the Plymouth Village Police Departcment, said position to homes effective April 1% 1964. Proclamation Re. Mayor Staples read a proclamation proclaiming Friday, May 1. Law Doy U.S.A. 1964. as Ler Day U.S.A., and called upon all citizens' organizations and schools to recognize this special day with suitable programs cere- moniess and educational activities. He. A discussion was held re,,rrdinj the placement o.' warning signs at railroad crossings within the Village. It was requested that the Village Attorney contact the Railroad & 'harehoswe Commis- sion in commotion with warring signs to be placed at, the railroad right-cf-wty as well as for furnishing warning signs to be placed 200 to 300 feet before the*rossingss which would be installed by village employees. It was suggested that he ranbmit a report to the Council as to the accomplishment of this probim. Mayor Staples informed the Council that Donald E. Rudolph has submitted his resignation as Che.lrman of the Citizens' Committee on Government Revision as he does not have the time to devote to it. Mayor Staples appointed Alan J. Noble, 18105-D 301 Avenue , '.aysata* as Chairman of the Committee and he also appoin- ted Jain G. Fisohers Box 375* Route 2s „syzata, as a Member of the Camnitt se. Motion made by Trustee Humphrey that Sign Permit No. 234 to Mrs. W, Eeat Corry for the erection of a sign of the Southwest owner of Highway 101 and County Read 6s be approved.
