Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a ReZ ular Meeting of
the village Council of the Village of Plyrmouth, Mnnesota, pass duly held
at the Village Sall on the 13th day of December, 1962, at 7.30 o'clock F. M.
Present: lK yor Keefe, Trt:stees Yngve, Kraatz, Ourtis and Teberg,
the Village Clerk, Attorney and :n;ineet.
Mayor Keefe called the meeting to omler.
Copies of tie mutes of the RegularMeetin.; of 'Deceriber 11, 1962,
as mailed to :. ch Councilman., were approved.
Public ?iearin; was held in accor,ance with official pualication
for the .vacation of Garden Street adjoining and abutting Lots 16 x- 17, Block
3, and Lots 15 = 16, in Filock 6, all in EL -:burst °sa.rdens Addition. No one
appeared to make any protest against tine vacation of the street, therefore
the Mayor declared the Hearing, closed.
Herbert Shanson and Mr. Mitchell appeared to discuss some of the
Park Committee prbgram far the coming year. Doren Hughes, a mettber of the
Comrdttee, has moved from. the area an:: Richard O'Fallon, being elected to
the Village Council, will not be members. Mr. 3wansor. requested that these
vacancies be filled a, soon as possible in order to have a'full committee.

with the school districts for the recital of unused school property. notion

Motion seconded by Trustee Kreatz an.1 passed by all Council members voting
aye.
It was recortrrended that Gerhard Freund, Road Superintendent,
attempt to contact different parties with snow plowing equipment and obtain
costs to plow the snot; off skati.n_ areas from ponds or lakes in various
areas and submit hi3 reco=endation to the Council.
Motion made by Trusted Curtis that Building Permit be ,ranted to
FraYtk Ccolbroth of Coolbrotr-Sitton Septic Tanks, Inc., for the section of
a 32 x 43-ftd steel building, upon property located at 4810-B :lest Medicine;
Lake drive. Motion seconded by Trustee Yngve and passed by all Council
members voting aye.
Motion made by Trusters Curtis that Building Permit be granted to
R. G. rRmd for the erection of a 40 x 60 -ft. office and warehouse building
at 3351-5-A. Yiljner Lane Borth, permit subject to his furnishing a plot plan
to be approved by the Building inspector covering sanitation system and
parking area. Motion seconded by Trustee Teberg and passed by all Council
members voting ave.
Leo Etzel and Mr. Dorweiler, representing the Hamel Fire Depart -
met, appeared to discuss the renewal of their contract with the Village
of Plymouth for 1963. A number of other people from the vicinity Were also
present. It was explained that the contract with the Hamel Fire Department
has not been cancelled but it is the intention to attempt to arrive at, an
agreement whereby a certain amount of money can be guaranteed to the De-
partment and that this amount mould be used to defray the expenses on an
hourly basis for any cajls trade, and if the guarani eed amount is used up,
ane future calls p:otzld be paid on a stipulated hourly basis. Mr. Dorweiler
stated they are presently charging residents in other areas at the rate of
$7.50 per year, or $15.00 for a 3 -year period, for their fire protection.
After the discussion it was agreea that Mayor .:eefe, Trustees Yngve and
Curtis, hold a meeting Saturday, December 22, 1962, for the purpose of
arriving at a satisfactory agreement with the Hamel Fire Departmunt for
the year 1963.

rz-ztter wras dropped, but he said he intended to negotiate further with
Mr. Phelouist.
