NCW TftMFORE, Be It Resolved By the Village Council of the
Village of Plymouth:
1. VACATIOt:'s
Vacations will be granted to each employee who has been estab-
lished of record as a ful,y time employee. A full time employee is
one employed on a monthly or annual salary basis and works a normal
forty hour week from date of employment but excluding vacations,
sick leave or holidays. A full time employee is also one employed
and paid, or. an hourly basis and one who works a normal forty hour
week from date of employment when work is available, excluding
vacations, sick leave or holidays.
Any employee employed for a regular, full time position shall
be considered under probation during the first ninety (90) days of
employment. If his employment has been satisfactory, his vaclktion
time will commence from the first day of his employment and be

Any employee entitled to a vacation for a specified length of

and be granted subject to the approval of his department head.
Vacation dates shall be allottee to employees at their choosiag. in
accordance with the seniority of the employees in each departeent.
Any full time employee who has been discharged or dismissed

shall be entitled to receive compensation for any accumulated vacation
time.

2. DAVE OF ABW4CE.-
Any leave of absence to be granted shall be subject to.tht
approval of the department head and also the Village Coundily butt

The following shall be declared official holidays by the Village
of Plymouth; -

Washington's Birthday Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day Memorial Day

Employees required to work on Holidays shall receive compensatory
time orf to be agreed upon with the Department head.
4. SICK LEAVE:
Any employee, after completing a 90 -day probationary pe#od
and considered as a full time employee of the Village, shall come
under the Sick LeLve Program, effective as of the fire data ref employ-
mens. Sick Leave to be granted each full time .employee f ro.m `the -date
of employment at the rate of one (1) day per month. All unused Sick
Leave shall be accumulative until a maximum of sixty (64) days has'
been attained.
Any Sick Leave accrudd to the benefit of an .employee. all be
cancelled and cease upon his dismissal, resin-' : , or retirement from
Village employment.
Absence on account of Sick Leave must be given by the employee ,
or his representative within one hour of his work starting time for

the day of absence and be approved by the department head and any
absence over a period of three (3) consecutive days trust be substan-
tiated by a cert ficate from a practicing physician or approved by
the department head.
Motion to adopt laid resolution was seconded by Trustee Yngve
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Keefe, Trustees Yngve, Curtis, Kreatz and Teberg. The following
voted against: done.
Whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.

Motion made by Trustee Yngve that degular Checks numbered 2006
through•2O68 be approved. Motion seconded by Trustee Teberg and passed
by all Council members voting aye.
Motion made by Trustee Curtis that Dwaine Joseph Osier be
appointed a part time police officer for the Village of Plymouth at
monthly salary of $100.00, effective May 14, 1962. Motion seconded
Trustee Yngve and passed by all Council members voting aye.
On motion the meeting was adjourned at 10:10 o'clock P.M.

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of
the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Ainnesota was duly held
at the Village Hall on the 15th day of May, 1962, at 7:30 o'clock P.N.
Presentt Mayor Keefe, Trustees Yngve, Curtis, Kreatz and Teberg;
the Village Clerk and Engineer. Absent: Village Attorney.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Keefe.
Copies of the minutes of the Regular keeting of May 8, 1962, as
mailed to each Councilman,•were approved subject to rescinding Resolution
62-20.
Motion made by Trustee Yngve and seconded by Trustee Curtis that
Resolution 62-20 adopted May 8, 1962, relating to establishing Personnel
Procedures covering vacations, leaves of absence, holidays and sick leave
be rescinded and that revised resolution be adopted. Motion passed.
Herb Swanson, Chairman of the Park Commission, appeared to discuss Park 0
their park program, Mr. Swanson stated they had three parr sites in mind Rep.by
and have set their goal at approximately 1010 acres of land for park property. H. Swa
He stated the Comsission wishes to recommend that a bond issue be voted m -td
the December, 1962, Village Election for the purpose of obtaining funds to
acquire park property. Air. Swuson stated that they would have a comprehensive
plan within approximately 30 days to submit to the Council for consideration.
He also suggested that the membership of the Commission be increased in number
as considerable work is to be done and it would give better representation to
the residents in the Village.
