HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 12-12-1961December 12, Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Regular No"Ing of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Mall on the 12th day of Decembers .19610 at Ss OO of clock P.M. Present; Mayor Anderson; Trustee Keefe, Kreats, Theis and Yngve, the Village Clerk, Engineer and Attorney. Absent; hone. Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 6, 1961, as maned to each Councilman, were approved. School for Motion made by Keefe that Chief of Police Lion be author - Police ised to have Police Officer Hammen, Wilson and Seward attend a Police Officers, Officer School at a fee of $10.00 each. Motion seconded by Kreats and passed by all Council Members voting aye. Approval Off Motion made by Keefe that approval be granted for an Off Sale 3.2 Lie to Sale Non -Intoxicating Mala Liquor License to Virginia K. Avery,* 210 Virginia K. Avery. Niagara Lane. Motion seconded by Kreats and passed by all Council Members voting aye. Approval of On Motion made by Kreats that approval be given for an Oft & Off Sale 3.2 and On Sale Non -Intoxicating Malt Ligaor License to Theodore $cigar Lie & Cons. of dba Ted•s Owl Club. Also that approval be grunted for a Consnmptiae Liq. fee for Theo- of Intoxicating Liquor Permit fee. Motion seconded by Theis and dore Edgar, Owl passed by all Council Members voting aye. Club. Motion made by Yngve that approval be granted to Henry ,Henry Koval re- Koval waiving side line and front line set -backs upon Lot 7 Block 7, quest for waiv- Sunset Acres. That front line sat -back be made to conform with the ;i•n8 set -back on adjoining residence. That approval is granted, subject to approval Lot 7 Bl. 7, Stn- of moving permit for a residence upon the property by Mr. Koval and ':set Acres. the set -back then to be agreed upon by the Building Inspector, notion seconded by Theis and passed by all Council Members voting eye. Re George notion made by Keefe that the application for sign permit °Hussman Sign by George Hussman for a sign located an Niagara Lane and north of Permit. County Road 15 be denied can account of the sign not in keeping with the standards required for the neighborhood. That approval be granted for a sign not exceeding 3' x 8' and not over 5' above the ground level. Motion seconded by Yngve-and passed by all Council Members voting aye. ;Approval of 1962 Motion made bV Keefe that the Fire Protection Contract ::Fire Protection between the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., and the Village Contract with of Plymouth be renewed for the year 1962 on the identical. tens and 'Hamel Fire Dept. conditions as the present contract. Motion seconded by greats and Inc. passed by all Council Members voting aye. Trustee Yngve Introduced the following ordinance acrd moved its adoptions CHDINArdCZ 61-22 -22 Amending Bldg. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUILDING 00DE Code Fees. OF THE VILLAGE OF PLIMOUTH. Motion for the adoption of the foregoing ordinance was seconded by Trustee Theis and upon vote being taken thereon,, the following voted in favor thereofs mayor Anderson, Trustee Keefe, Kreats, Theis and Yngve. Absent: None. Whereupon ssid ordinance was 061sred duly passed and adopted. Re Extending:; in regard to extending trucking service beyond County Road 18 in the trucking ser'n Village of Plymouth. The motion to adopt the resolution was seconded by Trustee Yngve and upon vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: payor Anderson, Trustee Keefe, Kreata and Yngve. The following voted against. Alone. Absent; None. *hereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Keefe and Aaron I. by Wia Kerlin Curtis took the Official Oath for installation to their respective Thos. J. Keef offices to which they were elected at the Village Election held on Aaron I. Willi— Merlin to purchase a robe to be used when he officiates as robe for J_ Judge in the Plymouth Municipal Court. Motion seconded by Keefe and Perlin. passed by all Council Members voting aye. Motion seconded by Yngve and passed by all Council roll Checks ..': Members voting aye. 1116 thru 1.132 Motion made by Yngve that Regular Checks numbered 1543 thru 1614 be approved. Motion seconded by Theis and passed by all Council Approval Reg.' Member- voting aye. Checks 1543 On motion the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.M. thru 1614. Village Clerk
