Present; Mayor Anderaon; Tmeteon Keefe. Kreats,, Theis and Yngve, the Village Clerk, Engineer and Attorney. Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order. Copies of the Regular Meeting of 4leptember 5th and 12th and the Special Meeting of September 16th were delivered to each Councilman and on motion approved as written. Advertisement for Bids for 1W Streot Name Signs, polis and installation were received and opened in accordance with official published notice. The following bids were receivedz H. V. Johnston Culvert Company, bid on 100 Street Name Signs and poles i 15.95 $1,595.00 Installation 0 4.35 Q5.OQ Total 20.30 $2,030.00 A Certified Check in the amount of $125.00, being % :of the bid, was attached. Lyle Signs, Inc., bis! on 100 Street Name Signs i 9.95 each 100 2 3/8" by 101 to i0f6" galvanizes posts set in concrete Q 9.50 each Assembling and installing signs on posts a .95 each If the complete bid is accepted the coat per sign and post assembled and installed vill be $19.45 each, total $1,945.00. Delivery mill be made in approx- imately 45 days. A Certified Check in the mount of $100e00 was attached to the bid. Motion made by Keefe that the bia of Lyle Signs, Inc., for 100 Street Name Signs, Posts and Installation at $19.45 each for a total tad price of $1,945.00 be accepted. Motion made by Keefe that the request of Eugene limn for division of Lot 3 Bloch 8, Wilshire Gardens, into two equal sized lots be approved, subject to receipt of a surrey plat covering the division. notion seconded by Kreats and passed by all Council Members voting are. !lotion made by Keefw,that Siont Permit No. 160 to National Advertising Company and Permits No. 161 and 182 to Naegeie Outdoor Advertising Company be approved. Motion seconded by Yngve And passed by all Council Members voting aye. Motion made by Keefe that a.permit be approved fbr Mr. Parker, 2525 Magnolia Lane North, to build .& garage in the bank of the front portion of his lot at approximately 28 ft. back from the road line. The top, or roof, of the garage to be -Lave! with the adjoining ground. Motion seconded by Kreats and passed by all Council Members voting aye. Motion mads by Yugve that Regular Checks No. 1468 and 1469 be approves. Motion seconded by Kreats and passed by 44. Council Members voting aye. Serstens 1 Unlia The proposed plat of Carlton J. Edman, 3524 C Fernbrook Ise, was discussed. The plat was approved by the Planning ComO. mission on August 24, 1961. It was recommended that the Village Engineer contact the Surveyor, F. C. Jackson, regarding the plat and attempt to arrive at a conclusion for the most satisfactory division of the land into lots on account of the creek passing thru the area., - Motion made by Yngve that approval for a building permit be granted to the owner of a tract of land 60 ft. by 135 ft., metes and bounds description, lying West �.�f Lot 1, Block 2, Red - O -Lake Acres let Addition, subject to U -e approval of building set -back by the Building Inspector. Motion seconded by Theis and passed by all Council -embers opting aye. Motion made by Keefe that approval be given to the Park Commission for the use of the land at the rear of the Village Hall for park purposes. Also that they submit to the Council a plan of a general layout of the land use. and that when doing so take into consideration the proposed location of a service road along the east side of the Village property from Highway 55 South and then turning West at approximate]y 2W ft. North of the Village Garage Building and continuing to the East boundary of the proposed 494 Freeway. Also, as an alternate, a service road along the North side of the Highway 55 right-of-way across the Village Hall property and continuing West to the proposed 494 Freeway and then continuing North along the Freeway right-of-way. motion seconded by ingve and passed by all Council Members voting aye. A sap of the proposed layout of County Road 18 and the service road an the west side from CQtmtty Road 70 and north was discussed. It was agreed that this be referred to the Village Planers, Mason, Law, Wehrman and Knight, for a recommendation from them as to the proposed location of the service road as to whether they feel it should abut the County Road 18 right-of-way or as it is shown on the map at 160 ft, west of County Road I8. When this recommendation is recefred it will be referred to the Planing Commission for their consideration.
