Present; :Iayor Anderson; Trustees; feefe, Kreatz, ':Theis and Yngve, the Village Clerk and Engineer. Interviews were held for the position of Village Interviews for Attorne,r. interviewed were herbert P. Lefler of `oward, appointraent of Peterson, LeFevere, Lefler and Iiaertzen; Marlon 0. Iiaugen of Village Attozn. ey. !^,ayxata, Alinnesota; Thomas G. Forsbere with Hall., bmith, Hedlund, Juster, Forsberg and Verlin and John .°_. =Tiller, formerly of International Falls, riinnR cota. Lrnst, being present., was asked if he was seeking the position of Assessor to which he Appointment of stated he was. =:r. Lotion raade by Kreatz and seconded by Keefe that Farald Ernst be appointed Village Assessor for the year 1961, at a salary of $`50.CG per Month, w#,ich includes automobile expense. otion was then, rade by Anderson that the motion for reappointment of i:r. Er:ist be tabled. motion seconded by Yngve. On a vote being taken ,alror Anderson and Trustee Yngve voted in favor and Trustees; Keefe, Kreatz and Theis opposed. Motion lost. A vote Was then taken upon the Notion for the appointment of Nr. Ernst as Assessor, the vote being as follows: Trustees; Keefe, Kreatz and Theis voted in favor. Opposed, =a,or Anderson and Trustee Yngve. Notion passed.
