Regular Meeting of the Village of Ply auth, :1inn.esota, was duly held at the Village g all on the 7th da;' of December, 1960, at 9:00 o'clock P. 1,1. Present; Mayor Anderson; 'Trustees; Keefe, Kreatz and Theis, the Villa e Clerk, Attornfy and Engineer. Absent; Trubtee Sahly . Xinutea of Meetings of november 1, November 9, november 15 and i;ovenber 22 were read and on motion approved. Lnutes of Notion was made by Kreatz that the linutes of the Annual m-tual Village y lyage Election held on December 6, 1960, as submitted, be approved Lection and that the following be declared elected to office. Kotion se3condcd by Theis and passed by all Council Members voting aye. e= Purchase Enoch Peterson,. Chairmen of the Planning Commission, and f Street signs. Larl. F. Anderson, of 'Lyle Siens, Inc., appeared to discuss the cosi and installation of street name signs. Mr. Anderson displayed sampiRs of the signs that he recommended together with the cast of the.signs with or washout installation. After discussion motion was. made by Keefe that the matter be tabled for further consideration and be presented at the next regular meeting for final decision. nprovement of ter. Feder!.on, County Engineer, and Earl Ainsworth, County .$.A.R. No. 9 Co=issioner, appeared to discuss the improvement of County State 7 County & Aid Road Number 9. The County previously submitted a proposal, that Illage jointly. the Village obtain the necessary right -of -gray and contribute $20,CK)0.00 for the first stage of construction. County Road. 9 presently has a width of 66 feet and it is proposed to widen the right-of-way to 80 feet. It was also proposed that the Village obtain the necessary right-of-way in 1961 and then const:ibute some of its 1962 State Aid Funds coo that the construction of tte new road could commience.3r 1962. Volkert, representing Chicago and .North- western Railway, appeared to discuss the acquiring of the necessary riSht-of--way for Erie Avenue from Ohio Avenue North to the .Mannix International property. Motion made b;,, Keefe that the Village Engineer proceed to s+irvkv the road right-of-way to the reouired width and attempt to acruire easements for the right-of:way. As to the,right- of -way to which easements are unobtainable a meeting is'to.be arranged vrith the Railway Company to consider what action should be taken in condemnations to acquire the necessary right-of-way. . Wooler explained the maJor items in the Franchise and also stated that Robbinsdale, Cr;,Pstal and Fridley have adopted resolutions approving it.
