M. Fresent: Mayor Anderson, Trustees; Keefe, Kreatz, Sahli,- and Theis, Village Clerk, Attorney and Engineer. Tae minutes of the greeting of August 16th were read and on motion arnroved. Bids were opened for seal, coa tpgc--artain roads in the Village, in accordance with publish` -notice, the bids re- ceived being as follows: 1. Jay W. Craig Co. $8,363.17 �. J. V. Gleason 7,786.40 Twin City Paving Co. 6,978.92 The bias were turned over to the Engineer for his recommendation with the awardinr_ of the contract later in the meeting, Bids were opened for the Foad4lixed Bituminous Base for Fox Avenue, in accordance with }ublish`notice, the bids received being as follows: 1. Twin Cit,; Faving Co. $7,020.00 2. Ja•Craig Co. 4,752.00 3. J. V. Gleeson Co. 4,356. CC 4. J, W. Alexander 5,346.00 T e ':ic?s were turned over to the Engineer for his recommendation with the awarding of the contract later in the meeting. Bids were received and, opened for a Four -Wheel Drive Truck with dump box, hoist, snow plow and King, in accordance with publish"s±otice, as follows: 1. f ettinger Motors Ford a/Mapco $11,732.82 Option "A" Marmon Barrington Front end. 458.60 2. Fvi 14,950.00 Add -two position - Hoist- Add 38.00 Gar Wood Foist - Add 16$.00 The bids were turned over to the Engineer for his study and recomndation, with the awarding of the contract to be made at to next Council Meeting, September 14, 1960. Robert Berthiaume and E. B. Turner appeared with a recuest to construct a home on a tract of land in.. excess of 21 acres in the NE; of SEy, Section 15. As their recuest is above the minimum acreage re-uired without plat deveioie^�¢rt it was recommended th6t they bring in a survey of the tract for Council consideration. Motion made by Kreatz that a permit be granted to A. C. Garrisc.n, 2940 Chowen Avenue South, to move a 24' by 46' house on to Lot 32, Block t, Woodfield Avenue, City View Acre. Motion seconded by Sahly and passed by all Council Members voting aye. Bids for seal coating roads. Bids for Road4lixed Bituminous base - Fox Avenue. Bids for Truck. Robert Bert .iaume and E. B. Truner request . permit for home. Permit to A. C. Garrison.. to move house to Wood- field Ave. 1:3 1 4 S ertesmber b, 12A (Con't) A letter was presented by the Engineer with re- ference to the cost of storm sewer drainage for Parkdale Drive - Re. Drainage for Park- in Parkdale Addition. The cost was estimated at $10,735.00. .: dale Drive. Several residents from the area were present to discuss the drainage problem. Various suggestions were made such as sodded ditch, storm. sever, er curb and gutter along the road. Motion was made b, Keefe that the contract be let for the grading, graveling and bituminous surfacing of Parkdale Drive as original planned. That if drainage on the road doers not solve the drain- age problem the matter krill be brought up again as to some other drainage method along side the road. Potion seconded by Theis and nassed by .it Council Members voting aye. Re: Drainage for 120 Jim Kavanough, 1104 - 124th Street North, appeared to St. North area. discuss she drainage problem in his area. Motion was made by Sahly that the Engineer prepare Notice of Public Hearing with srecifJcations for drainage in the area, said public hearing to be held October 4, 1960. That drainage easements be obtained across Trot 8, Block 6. Matinr, seconded by Theis and passed by all Council. Members voting aye. Re: Pl,,= Lane Several residenris from Plum Lane appeared to discuss Improvement. improvement of Plum nano. After discussion it was agreed that the 'Engineer and Attorney contact the contractor for the bituminous surfacing of the road to see if he would be willing to withdraw that portion of the contract. It being the intention to obtain the necessary right-of-way easements and bring the road up to Village roar' base construction specifications. Re; Bituminous surfacing Motion made by Theis that the contract be awarded .for 23rd Avenue North the Bituminous Surfacing of 33rd Avenue North from East Medicine Boulevard to its East terminus. Motion seconded by Kreatz and passed by all Council members voting aye. Permit to Arthur Motion made by Sahly that a permit be granted to Arthur Roggeman to move Roggeman, 10541 -. 36th Avenue forth, to move a home upon his Land. 1-=ome. lotion seconded by Kreatz and passed by all Council Members voting aye. - Approval of Birch Briar Motion made by Sahly that final approval be given to kddn plat. the plat of Birch Briar Addition subject to the posting of a bond, in amount stipulated by the Engineer, for the completion of road construction. Motion seconded by Theis and passed by all Council Members votir_g aye. 'Re. Vacating street in Motion mode by Sahly that the Attorney be authorized Birch Briar Addn. to take the necessary action to vacate streets, in Birch Briar Addition, as described in the petition. Motion seconded by Kreatz and passed by all Council members voting aye. Approval of Greendale Motion made by Theis that final approval be given to Addn. the plat of Greendale Addition subject to approval, of the roads by the Village 'Engineer. Motion seconded by Kreatz and passed by all Council. Members voting aye. Louis Keil re culvert Louis Keil, 305 Fairbanks Avenue, appeared to discus. at Frirbanks and Co. a culvert across County Road 15; The Engineer agreed to contaoi 'Rd. 15 the County and request that the culvert be cleaned out and be 'f replaced with a rex one if necessary. Motion made by Kreatz that the Engineer and Attorney prepare Notice for Bids for Machine Hire and f}perator for improve - went to be done on West'.Mesdicine_: `; .
