Pursuant to due Ball and notice thereof a Special
Meeting of the Village Courcil of the Village of.PJymmths
Minnesota, was duly held at the Village hall .on the 6th day
of July 1960, ,at 3:00 o'clouk P. M.
Re: Assessments Present; Mayor And -arson, Trustees; Keefe, Kreats,
Sahly and Theis and the Village Clerk and Attorney, also
present were Irvin Olson and James Ward of the Kinnesota Tax
Commission, also Assessors Ge,>rge Hanson of Oromo Villa"
and Charles Brno of the City cif Wayzata and M.re. Rose Talbot.
ldr. Olson was the principal speaker durAng the
meeting; at which he made several statements whiety are .here•
after recorded for general information.
The law permits twenty days from the dame of the
Board of Review meeting for a Village to correct its records.
The Attorney Ceneral. has ruled than the Council
has authority to appoint a committee to appraise and recom-
mend changes in assesements.
Mr. Qyson stated that the Tax Commission is
willing to assist and furnish a tax expert when requested
by the Vil;_age tc spot check assessments. Spot cheers
would be tho most practical for arriving at a ccclusion
as, to the assessments made in the Village. The Village
has apnrozimately L5 hundred parcels of land and of which
anprox:Lr,aC»3; two thousand are improved.
At the conclusion of the discussion the following
motion :,raw introduced,: Motion was rade by Keefe that we
request the Co=dssioner of Taxation. of the State of Utn-
esota to assist in the evaluation :Lnd review of the Plpmuth
'ilia a assessment records of 1960 after the Village Hoard
of review meeting 'which will be 'held on July 12, 1960.
