HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 01-07-1958January 7, 1958 Pursuant to due cbll and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of 'lymouth, Minnesota, was duly held in the Village Hall in eaid Village on Tuesday the 7th day of January, 1958 at 2:00 o'clock P. tui. The following were present: Anderson, Eckes, Theis, Kreatz Deziel and the Clem. The foilor.il:g aemb�,rs were absent: none. Verified accounts numbered 630 thru 672 were audited and approved by the Council. Treasurer Little arriveu Lt 3:30 P. :d. to sign and post the verified accounts. Motion was made by Theis that Trustee Eckes be alspointed acting mayor for the year 1958. Motion vies secoude. by hreatz and passed by all council members voting Aye. Mntion was made by Eckes that the Minnetonka Herald be designated as the official pager for official publications for the year 1958. Motion was seconded by Kreatz and carried by all Council members voting Aye. Motion vise made by .takes that Mayor Anderson and `lruat€e William Deziel be eppointed aa the Auditing Committee for Iy58. Motion woe seconded by Theis and csrried by all Council members voting Aye. Motion was made by Theis that Byron McCullagh be appointed as Attorney for the Village of c'lymouth for tjiu year 19ji3. Motion was seconded by Kreetz and passed by all Council members voting Aye. Motion wee ,meue by Theis that Eckes be appolL ted in Charge of relief orders by recording them tend turning thtm baox to the Robbinsdale Relief Department, who is in charge of relief a.is- bu rsements for the Village. Motion seconded by Kreatz and passed by all Council gtmbers voting Aye. Treasurer ?hilip Little submitted his resignatlon aa;. Treasurer of the Village, said resignation to be tfrective as: of February 5, 1958. Mr. Little stated that he had too much personal business and therefore his resignation was necessary. His resignation wss accepted with regrets by the Council members. Don Ya rrar of Holverson Company, Minneapolis, appeared to discuss a besting Plant for the Village garage. lie submitted a price of $793.00 for the complete instejlletion.of a hot air oil burning plant. After discussion the matter was tabled to a later date for consideration. At 5:30 oweloc3; P.
