HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 09-03-1957September 3. 1,57 Pursuant :.o due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of Plymouth, Minnesota was duly held in the Village Hall on Tuesday the third day of September, 1957, at 2:00 otclock P. M. The following members were present: Sahly, Eekea, Keefe, Kreatz, Theis and the Clerk, and the following were absent: none. Verified accounts numbered 414 thru 455 were audited end approved by the Council. At 4:00 ?. 1. Treasurer Little arrived to sign and post the verified accounts. At 5:00 P. U. the meeting was adjourned until eight o'clock, The meeting was called to order by Idayor Sanly at eight- P. ightP. M. The following members were present: Sahly, hakes, 4esfe, Kreatz and Theis. The Village Cleric and Attorney were also present. The minutes of the meeting of August 20, 1957 were read and approved by all Council members voting Aye. Trustee Keefe moved the adoption of the following Resolution: "HLLSOLUTION PROVIDING FO`i IILAEII+G 014 ALbj4;Sb 6LL Ts FOR LT64ET i:r.PROVIMENT No. 1, 2, 3 and 4. BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Ilyzouth, Ai:;ueaota, that the assessment roll, heretofore duly prepares for Street Improvement No. 1, 2, 3 and 4, all as more specific- ally described in the Notice hereinafter azt out, be, and the same is hereby approved as the proposed Assessment Roll for said street improvement, and the Council shall meet at the time and place stated in said Notice for thb purpose of passing upon said assessments, and hearing any objections thereto. The Village Clark is hereby authorized and directed to . cause Notice of such meeting to he published ire the official newspaper at least two (2) weeks before the date of said hearing, which notice shall .be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING 014 ASSLEbUENU FOFi STRELT I1yiPROVEKE TS NO. 1, 2, 3 and 4. NOTICE IS hLhLbY GIV" that the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, will meet ire the Village Hall in said Village on the first day of October, 1957 at 8:300'clock P.M. to hear, consider and pass on all written or oral objections, If any, to the proposed assessments for street .improvement$ No. 1, c, 3, and 4, which shall :include assessments forradiri g. g, graveling, stabilizing and ; bituminous survaeing of the following public streets. Improvement No. l: The following streets situated in the North of Section 26, ?owaship.116, Range 22 N collet Avenue West to Lake Drive to Mount Curve; Lakeview.boulevard north of Nicoliet Avenue and South of Lot 5, Bloc z 1, 9014hurat; Mount Curve from Nicollet to Dell Plane; tars Drive; and Grove: Avenue. and all incidental corstraotion work requirad iii the mailing of said improvements. She proposed assessment roil is now on file in the office of the Village Clerk ann open to inspection by all ptersons interested. The entire amounts assessed against any parcel of land will be payable,. unlehs prepaid, in annual installments, as determined by the Council, the first of which will be payable with general taxes for theyear 1957, colleotsble W-th such taxes during the :year 1r��7/CC 8.
