HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 12-13-2005 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting December 13, 2005 Mayor Johnson called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 6:30 p.m. in Meeting Room 2, of the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Avenue North, on December 13, 2005. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Hewitt, Slavik, Stein, Bildsoe, Willis, and Black. ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens and City Clerk Paulson. Board and Commission Appointments The Council met with Frank Weir, current Chair of the Planning Commission, regarding the expiration of his term on this commission. The Council discussed expectations of those who serve on the Planning Commission (i.e. participating and initiating debate on those items that come before the Planning Commission, the role of the Chair). Motion was made by Councilmember Black, and seconded by Mayor Johnson, to reappoint Frank Weir to the Planning Commission for another three-year term. With all members voting in favor, the motion carried. Motion was made by Councilmember Black, and seconded by Councilmember Bildsoe, to remove the board and commission interviews from the January 17, 2006 Study Session agenda. With all members voting in favor, the motion carried. City Manager Ahrens stated she would send the current Council Coordinating Representative assignments to the Council for their review, in order that these assignments could be discussed in January 2006.
