Pursuant to duo call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the

!I! Village Council of the village of Plymouth, Minnesota was hold on the
20th day of April, 1970. The following members were present.
,Mayor Hilde, Councilman Johnson, Hints, Spaeth and Kindseth. No one

Mayor Hilde Introduced the following Resolution and moved its
j adoption:
RESOLUTION N0.70-147
WHEREAS, the construction of on interchange at the intersection
of CSAR f9 and CSAH #18 has been d0 cussed and considered on
many occasions the past three yea. and
WHEREAS, the cloverleaf interchange now proposed by Hennepin
County appears to be needed to serve the anticipated traffic
load from, and land development in the adjacent area of the
village of Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, the village of Plymouth has been made aware of potential
land use and traffic problems in the village of Now Hope be-
cause of the taking of access and #fight -of -way needed in the
construction of the cloverleaf, and
WBEREAS, it is to the advantage of both the village of Plymouth
and Now Hope to have a safe, adequate interchange coastruetsd
at^tha subject intersection as soon as possible. and
WHEREAS, it is also imperative that careful consideration be
given to potential problems with internal land use and traffic
that could result from the taking of access and right-of-way
In both villages and particularly in the vilis96 of Nw Bops,
Now TREREPoRI gS IT RESOLVED by the village Comeil of the Village
of Plymouth that?
1. The village of Plymouth is sympathetic with the village
of Naw Rope's contention that the current cloverleaf Pian
will cr6ate hardship and disturbance for existing devalop-
most in the southeast quadrant of the° -subject Interchange
area. sad
2. That the Remaepin County Migbogy Depr etment be requested
to give full and careful consideration to the appeal of
the vil1aga of Now Mops for pose study of the land ws
and acoria problems of the now cloverleaf aligam- t.
The motion for the adoption of the for6"ing Resolution was duly
seconded by Councilman Mints, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof? MayoT 81146, Counciluea Johusoo,
Unto, Rindssth and Spaeth. No ane voted against.
Whereupon the Resolution was declar*d duly passed and adopted.
