HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 07-10-2007 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting July 10, 2007 Mayor Slavik called a special meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on July 10, 2007. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Willis, Murdock, Black, Hewitt, Stein, and Bildsoe (arrived at 5:45 p.m.). 1-0-1 . STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens, Public Works Director Cote, Park and Recreation Director Blank, and City Clerk Engdahl. Preview Future Highway 55 Preferred Layout Jim Grube, Hennepin County Highway Engineer, along with representatives from SRF Consulting Group, discussed the future Highway 55 preferred layout. They presented a proposed timetable for the environmental assessment that would be concluding in January 2008. Update on County Road 9/CountyRoad 61 Drainaze/Erosion Proiect Public Works Director Cote and representatives of the Three Rivers Park District discussed the proposed agreement for the drainage/erosion project at County Road 9 and County Road 61. Suggestions regarding clarifying some of the language in the agreement were made, and it was noted that once those changes were made, the Council would receive another draft for their review. Preliminary Discussion with Marketing Consultant on City Center Jay Demma, a consultant with Bonestroo, discussed his preliminary findings on the City Center area. This discussion was to assist Mr. Demma in his primary focus of the area over the course of the next few weeks. The Council provided comments and suggestions regarding their vision for this area.
