Special Council Meeting
February 27, 2007
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 6:07
p.m. in the Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on February
27, 2007.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Willis, Hewitt, Murdock, Stein,
and Bildsoe.
ABSENT: Councilmember Black.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens, Community Development Director Juetten,
Financial Analyst Kohn, Deputy Police Chief Franz, Fire Chief Kline, City Engineer
Moberg, Administrative Services Director McGann, and City Clerk Engdahl.
Discuss Draft 2007-2011 Cabital Imurovement Plan (CIP
The purpose of this evening's meeting was to finish reviewing six areas contained in the
draft CIP. These areas included projects in water resources, transit, park, modifications
to park project funding and water fund budget, and review of vehicles/equipment. Some
minor wording changes were made in the park area. Lastly, a discussion was held on fire
equipment purchases, and the need to evaluate the cost effectiveness of refurbishing
equipment to extend its life. Following this discussion, the Council directed staff to
proceed according to the schedule contained in the staff report for the Planning
Commission's public hearing on the plan and the Council's adoption of the plan.
