HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-747• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 97-747 APPROVING AN INTERIM HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR TERRY MCKINZIE/QUALITY CARPET CARE AT 12600 SUNSET TRAIL (97158) WHEREAS, Terry McKinzie has requested an interim home occupation license to operate a carpet cleaning businrss from his home on property legally described as follows: Lot 11, Block 2, Wilshire Gardeak, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Heanng and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Terry McKinzie for an interim home occupation license to operate Quality Carpet Care from his home at 12600 Sunset Iva, subject to the following conditions: 1. The interim home occupation license is approved for Quality Carpet Care, in accordance with the plans received by the City on October 14, 1997, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The interim home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. The applicant may apply to the Zoning Administrator for renewal of the interim home occupation prior to expiration of the license. 3. Employee vehicles shall be parked in the garage or on the driveway in front of the garage. 4. Company vehicles shall be parked iv the garage. • • Resolution 97-747 (97158) Page 2 5. No outside storage of equipment or materials used in the home occupation is permitted. 6. No business signage is permitted on the site. 7. Staff finds that the applicant meets the general standards for home occupations and the specific requirements for interim home occupaUOW- Specifically, stats finds: a. The home occupation would not produce light, glare, noise, odor or vibration upon adjacent property because the hone Occup.don would be conducted off-site. b. The home occupation would be clearly incide-rtal and secondary to the residential use of the premises. All home occupation equipment would be X stored in the garage and the work done off-site. c. There shall be uo exterior storage of equipment or materials used in the home occupation, except personal automobiles used in the home occupation trs% be parked on site. d. The home occupation would meet all applicable fire and building codes. e. The home occupation would not be conducted between the hours of 10:00 p.m. wd 7:00 a.m. All work will be conducted off the Premises. f.
