RESOLUTION NO. 97-724
ADOPT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA STATUTE 471.345 FOR ALL CITY PURCHASES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth policy now requires two written quotations for all purchases
$1,000 to x25,000 and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has an adopted Statute whereby items or services can be
obtained by either receiving two written quotations or by obwining the items or services directly
in the open market at the discretion of the governing body and
WHERIrAS, it is increasingly difficult for the Maintenance Division to obtain two quotes when
making purchases between $1,000 and $25,000. This may cause time delays and atkn increased
costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that they adopt the State of Minnesota Statute 471.345 for
City purchases of less that $25,000..
