CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. 97 - 687
AUTHORIZING UNDERGROUNDING OF UTILITY LINES
EAST MEDICINE LAKE BOULEVARD
STREETRRAIL IMPROVEMENT
CITY PROJECT NO. 7006
WHEREAS, the City and Hennepin Regional Park have a joint project for the street
reconstruction and construction of a regional trail along East Medicine Lake Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, as part of the plan approval the City Council directed staff to determine if it
was feasible to underground the existing overhead utility lines; and
WHEREAS, it is rec0mmendUbd that it is feasible to place it undergrouuul from
approximately 30 Avemte to 291° Avenue because of the type of electric utility line; ;utd
WHEREAS, the Park District is to share equally in the estimated cost of 532,480 • o place
the line underground.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That approval is given to underground the existing
overhead utility line along East Medicine Lake Boulevard from approximately 346 Avenue
to 291 Avenue with the cost being equally shared between the City and Hennepin Regional
Parks.
FURTHER, that the costs will be funded with existing funding for the project.
