HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-630• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 97-630 APPROVING DEFERRED PAYMENT OF RESIDENTIAL EQUIVALENCY FEES WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services reviews industrial businesses every three years to evaluate sewage flows and charges additional Sewer Availability Charges (SAC) fees for any increases in flows; and WHEREAS, the City charges industrial businesses one Residential Equivalency Charges (REC) for hooking to the City's water and sewer systems for every SAC fee; and WHEREAS, the magnitude of the additional REC fees coupled with the additional SAC fees can prove to be a hardship on the industrial businesses if they are required to pay the entire fee in the current operating year. NOW, rHEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Finance Director is authorized to allow the industrial businesses to pay the additional REC fees over a period of months based on the schedule below: MC Fee Amount Payment Term $100,000 6 Months $200,000 12 Months 5300,000 18 Months 5400,000 24 Months $500,000 30 Months $600,000 36 Months Adopted by the City Council October 15, 1997. •
