HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-527• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 97 - 527 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF LAND LOCATED NORTH OF ROCKFORD ROAD, BETWEEN 1-194 AND BERKSHIRE LANE (97070) WHEREAS. Baker Partners, Inc. has requested reclassificadon of the zoning from I-1 (Light Industrial) to PUD (Planned Unit Development) for property legally described as Lot 8, Block 2. Plymouth Office Commercial Park, and the vacated Annapolis Circle as dedicated and delineated on the recorded plat of Plymouth Office Commercial Park, lying west and smith of the following described line: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7. Block 2. Plymouth Office Commerciti Park; thence northeasterly along a line radial to the centerline of said Annapolis Circle to said centerline; thence westerly along said centerline to the easterly right-of-way of Berkshire Lane and there said terminates. WHEREAS, Baker Partners, Inc, has also requested reclassification of the zoning from 1.2 (General Industrial) to PUD (Planned Unit Development) for property legally described as Lot 2, Block 1, Plymouth Business Center a Addition, except that part lying easterly and northerly of the following described line: Begir. ting at the most northerly corner of said Lot 2. thence southeasterly along the northeasterly lite of said Lot 2 and its southeasterly extension to the south lice of the north five feet of said Lot 2; thence easterly along said south line to the east lite of said Lot 2 and there said line termir tes. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from I-1 and I-2 to PUD. • • Resohriion 97-327 Page 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH. MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support and approve the request by Baiter Partners, Inc, for reclassification of the mooing iron 1-1 and 1-2 to PUD. based on the following findings: 1. The retuning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and plans. 2. There is adequate ini}astnmtun to support the rezoning of the parcel. 3. The rezoning and subsequent commercW development would help to diversify the City's economic base, in accordance with the City's goals under the Comprehensive Plan. Adopted by the City Council on September 10, 1997.
