HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-422ft CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 97 - 422 APPROVWG FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING FOR MOUNT OLIVET LUCHER.W CHURCH FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF OLD ROCKFORD ROAD, WEST OF LARCH LANE AND EAST OF SUBURBAN HENNEPIN REGIONAL PARK AS P -I (PUBLIC/INSTITUTIONAL) (97052) WHEREAS, Mount Olivet Lutheran Church has requested reclassification of the zoning from RSF-1 (Single Family Detached 1) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for property legally described as follows: That part of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, described as follows: Commencing at a point 2 rods east of the Southwest comer of the Southeast '/• of the Northwest '/4 of said Section 14; thence North 15 rods; thence East 10 rods; thence Southerly 16 rods to a point 12 rods East of the point of beginning; thence West to point of beginning; all according to the Government survey hereof. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommended approval; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from RSF-r to P -l; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support the request by Mount Olivet Lutheran Church for reclassification of the zoning from RSF-I (Single Family Detached 1) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for property located north of Old Rockford Road, west of Larch Lane and east of Suburban Hennepin Regional Park, based on the following findings: 1. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and plans. 2. The proposed development meets the purpose and intent of the P -I zoning district in that it provides parking for an institutional (church) use. 3. There is adequate infrastructure to support the proposed development and rezoning of the parcel. Adopted bw the City Council on this 16V' day of July, 1997. •
