RESOLUTION NO. 97 - 407
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
1997 SEAL COAT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 1997 Seal Coat
Program bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the folio: ring bids were
received complying with the advertisement:
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. 5137,545.54
Allied Blacktop, Inc. 1460679.61
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. 155,280.00
Caldwell Asphalt Co. 1559985.67
WHEREAS, it appears that Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. a/k/a ASTECH Corp. of
St. Cloud, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NO*, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with ASTECH Corp. of Ft. Cloud, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
1997 Seal Coat Program according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the
City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of S137,545.54.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders and the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
