CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION 97-392
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department has requested to join with the New Hope Police
Deparanent to implement a Safe & Sober campaign in their respective cities; and
WHEREAS, the agencies have requested to enter into a grert agreement with the Minncsota
Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes participation in the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing that the Plymouth Police
Department enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety,
Office of Traffic Safety for the project entitled SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITIES during the
period from October 1, 1997 through September 30,1998.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Craig C. Gerdes, Director of Public Safety 4nd Chief of the
Plymouth Police Department is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to
implement the project on behalf o the Plymouth Police Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chief Colin Kastanos, New Hope Police Department is
hereby authorized to be the fiscal agent and administer this grant on behalf of the Plymouth
Police Department.
Adopted by the City Council on July 9,1997.
