RESOLUTION N0.97 - 340
ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
VICKSBURG LANE STREET RECONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO, 7010
WHEREAS. Resolution No. 97-231 of the City Council adopted the 16th day of April, 1997.
fixed a date for a public hearing with respect to the improvements to Vicksburg Lane from
Gleason Labe Road to Highway 55; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-281 of the City Council adopted the 7th play of May, 1997,
amended the date for a public hearing to June 4, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project includes the reconstruction of streets by the installation of
bituminous pavement. concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances;
and
WHEREAS. Resolution No. 57-231 of the City Council adopted the 16th day of April, 1997,
Also accepted the preliminary engineering report which concluded that the proposed project is
feasiblew necessary and cost effective; and
WHEREAS, ten aaya published notice of the hearing through two weekly publications of the
requirod notice was given and the hearing was held thereon the 4th day of June, 1997, at which
time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and
WHEREAS, ordering this improvement requires it superma jority vote of the Council (six
votes) since the project has not been petitioned for by the benefiting owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution
adopted April 169 1997.
2. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the
improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
