ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF 187" AVENUE
WEST MEDICINE LAKE PARK RECONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO. 3030
WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S.A. 412.851 and the City Chatter Section 12.06, as part of an
easement agreement the City of Plymouth has agreed to ..:ate a portion of le Avenue
described as follows:
The southerly one-half of I e Avenue (platted as Brook Avenue) lying northerly
of, and adjacent to, the north line of Lot 23, Block I. ELMHURST GATEWAY
2ND ADDITION lying easterly of the northerly extension of the west line of said
Lot 23, Block 1 and lying w:mterly of the following described but.: Commencing
at a point on the south line of said Lot 23 distant 4 feet westerly of the most
southeasterly comer thereof; thence northwesterly to a point of intersection with
the north line of said Lot 23 distant 30 feet westerty of the most northeasterly
comer thereof said point being the actual point of beginning; thence continuing
northwesterly along the prolongation of the last described line to its point of
intersection with the centerline of said le Avenue and there terminating. The
City of Plymouth retains an easement for utility purposes over, across, and
through the northerly 10 feet of the vacated IP Avenue.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the request and found the same to be in order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should, and hereby does, establish the date of July 9,
1997 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, as
the time and place for the public hearing of said petition and directs the administrative staff to
publish notice of said hearing as provided by law.
