CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION'97 -326
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF LAND LOCATED NORTH OF
THE SOO LINE RAILWAY AND EAST OF PEONY LANE (96130)
WHEREAS, Janco Inc. has requested reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future
Restricted Development ) to RMF -2 (Multiple Family 2) for property legally described as
follows:
That part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 118
North, Range 22, West of the Sh Prin.:ipal Meridian, lying Northwesterly of the
Northwesterly line of the railroad right -0f --way, according to the U.S. Government
survey thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public
Hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from FRI)
to RMF -2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support and approve
the request by Janco, Inc. for reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted
De%vlopment) to P14F-2 (Middple Family 2), based on the following fundings:
1. The proposed _ezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City Folicies
and plans.
2. There is adequate infrastructure to support the rezoning of the parcel.
3. The rezoning offers the City the opportunity to fiurther its goals under the Livable
Communities Act.
