APPROVING THE EXPANSION OF THE PLYM011TH HUMAN RIGHTS
COMMISSION TO INLCUDC "AT LARGE" STUDENT MEMBERS LIVING IN
PLYMOt[ M
WHEREAS. the Plymouth Iiuman Rights Commission believes that the involvement of
young people in human rights issues is important to furthering equity and tolerance in the
community; and
VllEAS, the Plymouth Human Rights Commission requests approval by the City
Council of the expansion of its membership from eleven to fifteen membecs, so that four
`at large" student members may serve on the Human Rights Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE iT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth. Minnesota that the membership of the Plymouth Human Rights Commiaion is
expanded from eleven to fifteen members, and that the four new members shall be students
living in Plymouth; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the changes to
the bylaw& of the Plymouth Human Rights Commission as attached to this resolution.
Adopted by the City Council on May 28. 1997.
