RESOLUTION NO. 97-269
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
PLYMOUTH NIETROLWK
FOUR SEASONS MALL PARK-AND-RIDE LOT
CITY PROJECT NO. 7013
WHEREAS, perrsuant to an advatimment for bids for the improvements at the Four Seasom
Mall park-and-ride lot. consisting of site claringltmc r9mvaUgrubbing, parkft lot
reconstruction, concrete walks. miweli mous site elemems, and all necessary appurtenances,
bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:
Midwest Asphalt Corporation $19,483.35
LanDar, Inc, 915198.50
Hardrives, Inc. 939721.95
BNM Construction 1099781.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Asphalt Corporation of Hopkins, MN is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the project specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH. MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with Midwest Asphalt Corporation of Hopkins, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth
on behalf of Plymouth Metrolink Corporation for park-and-ride lot improvement at the
Four Seasons Mall Shopping Center according to the plans and specifications thereby
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of
$89,483.35.
2. The City's Transit Administrator is hereby directed to make a request to the Metropolitan
Council for utilization of $36,149.35 of Budget Carry Over Fund from the Plymouth
Metrolink Account to be added to the Regional Transit Capital RTC Omni tbm the
Metropolitan Council previously approved in the amount of $53.334 to totally fiord this
Project.
3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the neat
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
