HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-255• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 97 - 255 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING FOR FOURTH BAPTIST CHURCH FOR PROPERTY LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF HWY. 55 AND FORESTVIEW LANE (96185) WHEREAS, Fourth Baptist Church has requested reclassification of the zoning from B -C (Business Campus) and FRD (Future Restricted Development) to P -I (Public/Institutional) for a 23.99 -der- property legally described as follows; and, Lots 1 through 6. Block 1, Schiebe's Business Park, Hennepin County. AND The part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast comer of said Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence on an assumed bearing of North 89 degrees 20 minutes 05 seconds West along the south line of said Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter 1313.34 feet; thence continue North 69 degrees 20 minutes 05 seconds West 646.30 feet; thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 53 seconds East 998.00 feet; thence South 89 degrees 20 minutes 05 seconds East 1120.23 feet; thence South 0 degrees 10 minutes 06 seconds West 402.96 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue South 0 degrees 10 minutes 06 seconds West 535.04 feet; thence North 89 degrees 20 minutes 05 seconds West 472.71 feet; thence South 0 degrees 10 minutes 06 seconds West 60.00 feet to the south line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence easterly along the south line of said Southeast Quarter of the Nnrthwest Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter to the southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence north along the cast line of said Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter 595.02 feet; thence westerly to the point of beginning. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; WHEREAS, the Cite Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel; NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT HEREBY RESOINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support the request by Fourth Baptist Church for reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) and B -C (Business Campus) to P -I (PubliOnstitutional) for a 23.89 -acre property, based on the following findings: • 1. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and plans. 2. The proposed development meets the purpose and intent of the RI zoning district by providing specialized public service facilities. 3. There is adequate infrastructure to support the proposed development and rezoning of the Pte• Adopted by the City Council on this 7th day of May, 1997. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
