HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-160• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO, 97 - 160 ORDERING aryROVEMENT AND DESIGNATING THE C`IT'Y OF MI Ma WNBA AS THE LEAD AGENCY RMEMOLM AVENUE STREET AND PEDESTRIAN/ BICYCLE PATH IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO, 70M WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-82 of the City Council adopted the S° day of February, 1997 fixed a date for a public hearing with respect to the improvements to RidgeMount Avenue from County Road 73 to Plymouth Road; and WHEREAS, the proposed project includes the reconstruction of Ridgemount Avenue by the installation of bituminous pavement with concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, an 8 -foot wide bituminous pedestrian/bicycle path and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 97-82 of the City Council adopted the 56 day of February, 1997, also accepted the Preliminary Engineering Report which concluded that the proposed project is feasible, necessary and cost effective; and WHEREAS, teen days published notice of the heating through two weekly publications of the required notice was given and the hearing was held thereon the Sm day of March, 1997, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, ordering this improvement requires a 4/5 vote of the Council (six votes) since the project has not been petitioned for the benefiting owners; NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposal in the Council resolution adopted February S, 1997, except the plans shall be prepared with the 8 -foot wide bituminous pe destriardbicycle path as an alternate. 2.
