HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1997-148r CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 97.148 AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH'S APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBO) FUNDING FOR 1997 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is eligible to apply to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 1997 Rmding for the Community Development Block (haat Program; and WHEREAS, on February 209 19979 the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a duly constituted public hearing to allow interested parties to express their opinions regarding the allocation of funds for the 1997 CDBG program; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority regarding the proposed activities and program amounts for Fiscal Year 1997; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, bIINNESOTAO that it hereby directs the City Manager to submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development the application and all required documents for participation in the 1997 Community Development Block Grant Program for the following projects in the respective proposed amounts: 1. Housing Rebabilitation Loans SM000 a. Administration of Activity S I SAW b. Grantslloans to homeowners S 640000 2. Affordable Housing Assistance & Development Program 800000 a. Administration of Activity S 15.000 b. Housing Assistance $659000 3. Hammer Residences 26,000 4. Greater Minmeapolis Day Care Association (GML`CA) 240000 5. Westonka Community Action Network (WeCAN) 7,500 6. Community Action Suburban Hennepin (CASH) 70500 7. Park and Recreation Department Low income Scholarships 50000 8. Training 8t Resources to Attain Individual, Long-term Success (TRAILS) 6,000 9. Community Builders 20,000 10. Administration Total 64.000 53211000 BE 11 FURTHER RESOLVED, that any CDBG program income earned is hereby authorized to be expended as an additional CDBG allocation for the program activity generating the income.
