CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. W7 • 138
APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT FOR USE OF A
DESIGNATE;) AREA OF THE PARKING LOT AT
FOUR SEASONS MALL SHOPPING CENTER FOR A
PARK-AND-RIDE SITE
WHEREAS, the owners of the Four Seasons Shopping Mall identified as Four Seasons 11,
LLC (hereinafter called °Company") desire to contribute to the reduction of transportation
problems in Plymouth and the Minneapolis Metropolitan area; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to establish locations within the community at which passengers
may park their automobiles and ride a Plymouth Metrolink bus to the downtown areas in
Minneapolis and St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Company owns and manages the panting lot presently used primarily for
parking by customers and business persons occupying the Four Seasons Shopping Mall; and
WHEREAS, the Company is willing to enter into an agreement with the City of Plymouth to
permit the City to utilize a designated portion of their parking lot for the required park-and-
ride facility for approximately 63 vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the stalls used shall be located in the southwestern most section of the lot adjacent
to Lancaster Lane, south of the most southerly parking entry, per Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Company and the City have reached an agreement coutaining twelve
stioulattons dated March S, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City is obligated by this agreement to reimburse the Company in the amount
of $13,300 anmially, the first payment being due March 109 1997, with subsequent payments
due March S of each succeeding year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
enter into thc: agreement with Four Seasons It, LLC, owners of the Four Seasons Mall
Shopping Center for use of a portion of the parking lot at the Four Seasons Mall as a park-and-
ride facility. This agreement shall be in force for a period of five years Brom March S, 1997,
to March 4, 2002.
Adopted by the City Council on March S, 1997.
