CITY OF PLYMOUTH
APPROVING CITY FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION IN CONSTRUCTION OF A
NOISE WALL ON THE AMERIDATA SITE LOCATED AT 10200 51sTAVENUE
NORTH (95015)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth received a petition at the Plymouth Forum on
November 7, 1994 from residents living adjacent to the Ameridata site, said petition
regarding noise and glare problems at Ameridata; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth staff and elected offici-iis have spent two and a half
years working with Ameridata, the owner of the Ameridata building and the affected
residents to find an appropriate and workable resolution to the noise problem; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to resolve the noise problem, and
finds it is in the best interest of the City to provide financial assistance to construct a
noise wall, which will eliminate a public nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve
financial participation in the constructiou of a noise wall at the curb line on the western
edge of the Ameridata property, according to the conditions outlined below.
1. The maximum lovel of participation would be one -thud of total project cost up to a
maximum of $30,000
2. Funds would be allocated from the Project Administration Fund.
3. The agreement to participate financially in construction of the noise wall will sunset
if tLe project is not initiated by June 1, 1997.
