RESOLUTION NO. 97- 58
APPROVING 1997 STREET TREE TRIMMING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Forestry Division will act on 1997 Street Tree Trimming Proposal to be
carried out on City owned right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City bid, specifications were proposed and distribrted and bid
proposals were received and opened on January 15, 1997 and
WHEREAS, the following contractors received bid specifications, and five bids were received
by the City:
Arborists Tree Service no bid
Asplundh Tree Expert Co. $90/hr
Canopy Tree Care
no bid
Ostvig Tree, Inc.
$87/hr.
Rainbow Treecare
$119.7S/hr
S&S Tree specialists
$125/hr.
Top Notch Treecare
no bid
United Tree Service
$88/hr.
AND, WHEREAS, the bid of Ostvig Tree, Inc. is in conformance with City specifications foi
routine maintenance trimming of street trees and, therefore, Ostvig Tree. Inc. declared the
lowest responsible biddC7.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does, accept the proposal
of Ostvig Tree, Inc. in the line Item amount of $20,000; and
FURTHER, that fiends for this proposal are authorized from Account No. 101-1130-7517
Adopted by the City Council on January 22, 1997.
