CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION 96 - 718
ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE GUIDE PLAN ELEMENT AND
TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (96141)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is undertaking a major update of its Zoning Ordinance, one
of the official controls that implements the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, changes to the Land Use Guide Plan Element, including the Land Use Guide Plan
Map, are needed to ensure compatibility of the Plan with the new Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, amendments are also necessary to the Air Transportation Section of the
Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan in order to be consistent with 1995
amendments to the Metropolitan Aviation System Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed amendments at a duly called
Public Hearing held on October 8, 1996 and recommended approval of the amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the proposed amendments on October 16, 1996 and
authorized the staff to submit the amendments to the Metropolitan Council for review; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has completed its review and no changes are required
as a result of that review;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does adopt the aa.endments
to the Land Use Guide Plan Element replacing the text and map in its entirety, and the
amendment to the Air Transportation Section of the Transportation Element, replacing page 61
of the text.
