HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1996-697• CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 96-697 APPROVING THE 1997 CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION IMPLEMENTATION PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth uses a job evaluation in order to determine job value; and WHEREAS, this plan is in compliance with Minnesota Statute 471, commonly known as the "Pay Equity Law"; and WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to reflect changes to the 1997 budget proposals subtnitted to the City Council for review; and WHEREAS, in keeping with good management practice, City employees and volunteers are sometimes rewarded for suggestions, good safety practices, longevity and good service; and WHEREAS, volunteers are also recognized for their service to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Approve the 1997 Classification and Compensation Plan attached hereto. 2. nimcts the City Manager to proceed with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the plan and its components. 3. Approves continuation of volunteer and employee recognition programs as budgeted.
