CITY OF PLYMOUTH
RESOLUTION NO. 96. 666
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER AND
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT
WITH MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS, INC.
FOR VALIDATION OF POLICE OFFICER TEST
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth needs to provide a written test when processing
candidates for the position of police officer; and
WHERFtAS, the City of Plymouth has contracted with Management Solutions, Inc. for
use of their nationally certified written test for police officer; and
WHEREAS, Management Solutions, Inc. has notified the City it is seeking cities to
participate in the validation of a new police officer test; and
WHEREAS, the City is interested in having a written test which has been validated in the
City; and
WHEREAS, the cost to the City for participation would be $4,259, which would be offset
by the amount budgeted for the police officer testing procedure, as the amount charge to us for
the test would then be significantly reduced.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the City
Manager and Human Resource Manager to enter into a contract with Management Solutions, Inc.
to participate in a validation study of a new police officer test.
