RESOLUTION NO, 96 - 658
AUTHORIZING THE MATCHING OF LOCAL FUNDING AND
SIGNATURE OF CHALLENGE GRANT DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, The State of Minnesota, through its Board of Water and Soil Resources, has made state
grant funds available to Local Government Unit's for wetland planning; and
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth (LGU) had applied for up to $15,000.00, in state grant funds to
develop a Local Wetland Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has now been selected and awarded a 1997 Wetland Planning
Challenge Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City of Plymouth (LGU) approves entering into a Grant
Agreement with the State of Minnesota to receive State funds for developing and implementing
comprehensive wetland protection and management plans through the 1997 Wetland Planning
Challenge Grant, under the terms of the Grant Agreement and all statutory requirements; and
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA authorizes the
expenditure of up to $15,000.00 in in-kind contributions to match the 1997 Wedand Planning
Challenge Grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the
Grant Agreement with all related documents,
